Marijuana Bust, Again

Citations for marijuana in the dorms at CSULB is nothing out of the ordinary (See article High Crimes). It is bound to happen sooner or later. Not even a month has gone by in the semester and already several complaints about marijuana have been reported.

Jared Leewood, resident of Residence C, re-tells the story of what happened Saturday, Sept. 19, "It was around 11 p.m. when I walked out of my room and [I] smelled the weed, it was really strong." He claims that this wasn't the first time he smelled marijuana from inside the suite.

According to the CSU Long Beach Police Media Log, the complaint was put in by Residence Assistants, who are required to patrol the suites in case of any suspicious activity. Two police officers responded and two occupants in the suite were caught and issued misdemeanor for possession of marijuana less than 1 oz.
